Garuda revamps frequent flier programme

Garuda Indonesia has expanded its frequent flier programme.

Rewards programme members can now buy miles, extend the expiry of miles and maintain their Garuda Frequent Flier tier while continuing to earn points when flying with Garuda Indonesia and its partner airlines, hotels and tour operators.

Uun Setiawan, vice president Australia, New Zealand and South West Pacific, said the new options were the start of a GFF revamp.

"With seven tiers within the GFF programme, passengers have a growing range of opportunities to be rewarded for travelling with Garuda Indonesia," he said.

Garuda Indonesia recently enhanced partnership agreements with several travel and tourism operators, including a new frequent traveller programme with Swiss Belhotel and new codeshare agreement with Indian airline, Jet Airways.

Following Garuda Indonesia's recent cooperation with Air France and KLM, GFF members will now earn GFF Mileage when flying with either of the two European airlines.
